How many of the following have become true for you lately? I’ve lost my sense of humour. I feel resentful more of the time. I feel powerless to change things. I feel a failure. I feel guilty that things are not going well. I feel responsible all the time. I have been more irritable at work and at home. I have had flashes of anger. I have “lost it” with someone. Interview: Richard Richard had his first episode of burnout while a vicar in what was termed a “problem” parish. At home I blocked in two to three hours for myself, arranging alternative care for my mother where possible. I began to look at possibilities for a smaller house.
